Taxis are the most common way to get to Mogok. These taxis are scheduled taxi going Mandalay - Mogok, Mogok - Mandalay. They usually depart at early moring 7-9 AM and it is around 6 hours drive.
Taxis usually stop for lunch at restaurants on the way.
These taxis are flexible, can pick you up at your place (Homes, Hotels or anywhere in the city) for the trip and drop you at final location (Hotels, etc…).
- 5 Seaters Taxi normally cost around 13000 Ks to 15000 Ks/pax. (~$10)
- 9 Seaters Taxi normally cost around 10000 Ks to 11000 Ks/pax. (~$8)
If you are in Mandalay, you can easily book tickets at ticketing agent called “Ngu Wah”. They have many outlets around the city.
Or you can also book by calling directly to the following taxis services, give your address to pick you up at your place in the morning.
Most of the cars are 5 seaters hatchbacks. Usually a Nissan Ad Van, Toyota Fielder or Honda Partner.
